"Dreams Catch On" is the story of how a man and woman go against conventional thinking winning their sruggle and falling in love.

Women in the 1870 and l880's, such as Addie, are still held back. She is smart and raised in an intellectually liberal household; however, she is not allowed to participate in sports such as horse racing.

But the situation she finds herself in forces her to go against convention.

Addie secretely desires John, a fellow writer at the newspaper where Addie works. When he tells her he is marrying Elizabeth Hemings, he breaks her heart. To emotionally recover, Addie dircts her attention to two very special horses, Bramble and the Duke of Magenta. But training and maybe even jocking has never been done by a woman before.

She meets many difficulties, but luckily finds an equally unconventional individual, Brad, to train her horse and teach her to jockey.

They don't realize it, but they set off forces that change the social situation of the era forever and fall in love in the process.
